Bikes for Kids is an initiative to give the gift of a brand new bike to children in need in the Corpus Christi area.
Since 2009, Bikes For Kids has supported the South Texas Coastal Bend by giving away bikes to needy children during the holiday season. The annual event has collectively distributed over 1200 bikes and has raised over $130,000 to date. By teaming up with local bike shop, Bay Area Bicycles, Bikes For Kids has the privilege of giving away bikes of all sizes to children of different gender, ages and heights. We have the goal and mission to continue to support families in need during the holidays in hopes to raise spirits of the less fortunate within the community.
